Goya Windsurfing!
Francisco Goya is the name, as well as the driving force behind
the Goya brand. Born in Argentina, he moved to Maui to pursue a
career in windsurfing, which culminated in his PWA Wave World
Title in 2000. Now, after focusing on starting a family,
Francisco has decided to support the sport that he loves. He
started the Goya brand to bring the spirit and soul back to the
sport.
"My ultimate goal is to remind people why they started
windsurfing in the first place. To have fun. I want people to
remember that!"

With that goal in mind, Francisco has built Goya Windsurfing up
from the base. He has been intimately involved in all aspects of
the company, from conception, to board and sail design,
graphics, and marketing strategies. Francisco has been able to
take his passion for windsurfing, and turn it into a drive to
spread that passion.
In between winning the world title, and building a new brand
from the ground up, Francisco was able to start a family. He
married the love of his life, Tamara Catz, who is also a very
successful clothing designer. They had 2 children and a nice
house in Haiku, Maui.
Francisco continues to push the limits of windsurfing. With his
new personalized line of windsurfing gear, who knows where he
will take the sport! |
